Why this exists
Navigating Dutch housing as a newcomer means learning an unfamiliar system — BSN registration, huurcontracten, kosten koper — usually while also starting a job and figuring out where the nearest supermarket is. Most guidance is either too generic to be useful or written by someone trying to sell you something.
Nest Guide is a small, independent project: plain-language articles organised by where you actually are in the process. For anything that needs real, licensed advice, each guide tells you which kind of professional to speak to.

Where an article touches legal, tax, or financial territory, we say so plainly — and point you to the kind of licensed professional (notary, mortgage advisor, tax advisor) who can confirm the specifics for your situation.
